A Bullet chart compares a measure to a target in a horizontal bar. Useful for KPIs and performance vs goal.

Data Requirements

  • One dimension (categories, e.g., sales rep, product)
  • One or more measures (actual values)
  • Optional: A target column or fixed target value (configured in Bullet options in Appearance)

How to Set Up

  1. Create a metric with a dimension and measure(s).
  2. Click the Charts icon and choose Bullet.
  3. Under Required Axis:
    • Vertical Axis: The category dimension.
    • Horizontal Axis: The measure(s).
  4. In Appearance → Bullet options (or custom settings): Configure target values or ranges for each category if supported.

Layout

Bullet charts use horizontal bars. The bar length is the measure; a marker or segment can show the target. Configuration options depend on the implementation.
